Love….there are so many facets to this word. It has so many meanings: eros (sexual), philia (deep friendship), pragma (long standing), philatia (love of the self), Agape (unconditional). This book, When love is blind, will take you on a journey where you will experience each one of these emotions. Mary’s willingness to share her vulnerability to others is by no means an easy task, yet she shares her story in such a way that has you glued to each page wondering where the next chapter will take you. We may have said to others “you could write a book”, this is so true for Mary. The ups and downs, heartbreaks and passionate relationships in her life truly deserved to be written down and through her words, a path to healing emerges. That agape love …… it’s what we all ultimately desire and you can see this love intertwined throughout her entire life. This book will take you on a journey that you’ll never forget and may even show you glimpses of yourself. It’s truly a must-read!!!

A shocking and painfully honest story of a young woman following the path of love she believed was right for her only to find that she had made a commitment to a life that contradicted who she was as a believer and woman of God. But God, worked it all out for her good and His glory in the end.
Knowing Mary and now reading the back story of her life has truly been an inspiration and reassurance that no matter what you have done in your past that God’s forgiveness and love can restore you to a fulfilled life of joy, peace and happiness in spite of your situation or circumstance. I couldn’t put the book down and I applaud Ms. Mary Louise for courageously sharing her life story. It has definitely helped me confront my past mistakes knowing that God loves, forgives, heals and restores and nothing or no one can separate me from His love.

Thank you for your strength and bravery in writing your story.

From Hurt to Healing is a powerful subtitle. Throughout the book, my heart was along on that bumpy road with Ms. Mary. Although I have known her since we were 21, she never shared her life’s journey with me. After marrying her brother and having sons roughly the same age, I felt we lived parallel lives. It saddens me to know her life had so many potholes. By the end of the book, I just wanted to go back and hug that chubby 13-year-old forgotten girl. God is always there to help with the healing. I am happy to know she let Him inside.

I enjoyed reading When Love Is Blind, From Hurt To Healing.

This is a testimony of God Grace and Mercy that He gives to us everyday. God will supply all of our needs and forgive us of all our transgressions. Your healing comes from His promises of peace, assurance, and guarantee. This is a wonderful example to this world today. Thanks, Mary Louise. Love you much.

Your book was honestly inspirational. Coming from a young woman I long for a close relationship with God. Whenever I hear how close others are with Him it makes me tear up every time. I want that. And sometimes I get fearful I won’t have it due to my past mistakes and the fact sometimes I leave God. But hearing your story gives me faith that no mater how far I fall from God or how many times I leave Him, He never leaves me. And to hear all the trials and tribulations you went through but in the end God had a purpose for you, honestly made me cry. And just to know there truly is a reason for what we go through gives me hope. And I know God has us go through all the things we do for a reason, but just to hear it from someone and to know there truly is a bigger purpose in the end makes me trust the process so much more. I know someone out there really needed to hear your story because It’s just so real and relatable. Maybe your situation isn’t completely relatable to me because i’m not married but your feelings and emotions most definitely are. I connected with that so much and I just want you to know your book is outstanding and the message will help so many people. We all just have to put God first and trust in Him. So thank you for having enough courage to share it.

I truly enjoyed reading your book. There was so much I could relate to. I’ve had my share of obstacles in life. I often felt like my life would be nothing but constant roadblocks because of my past. Reading your book gave me hope and motivation. It showed me that no matter what has occurred in life, you can always pick up the pieces and rebuild your life. I’m so proud of you for making it through so many storms. You endured so much sadness and pain as I have as well, and you somehow still managed to become an amazing woman. That gave me a drive within to keep fighting for happiness and peace. You should be very proud of yourself as

I am extremely proud of you. It’s such a pleasure to be able to call you my friend.

Your book was awesome. I really can relate because I’ve gone through so much pain and hurt. I didn’t understand a lot of things as I was growing up but just like you, I gave my life over to Him. I went through a lot before I did that, now just like you, I have no desire to go  back. God is so so good-there are so many young women out there that need to read this book. This is a very awesome read.  it Will change your life for ever.  Just reading this book, I know that God inspired Mary to write this book.  He gave her the courage to tell her story. I like to say, thank you Mary, for allowing God to use you in a way to bless so many others.

This book includes a perspective on forgiveness of self and others; and ends in transformation. Although, a short read….it is thoughtful and insightful. Takes the reader on a honest journey of life (not always a pleasant journey) and the Author’s concept of the different phrases of LOVE.
Brew a cup of coffee; put your feet up; settle back into your “easy’ chair and take the ride.

I really enjoyed reading your book.  You are a strong woman who has been through a lot but with the help of God, you came out victorious.
-Flossie Ross

Everyone has a story but not everyone has the courage to be honest and frank about their experiences and the impact of their choices. Ms. Mary Louise did just that in her memoir. It grabs your attention, makes you think, and makes you want to toast to her victories. Get this book!

Your book is very interesting and very inspiring. One thing for sure is that you’re on the right page,  walking in the light of Jesus. I enjoyed your book and I finished it in one day. I understood what you were saying–been there done that. I also, back in the day, wanted to write a book on my life. “The Bitter and the Sweet.”  I’m sure it would have the hairs standing on your head. Maybe it’s too late for me now, but it’s been on my mind since I was  very young.  But I really enjoyed reading yours and understood it to the max and I know the Lord is first in your life.  Jesus loves you, and so do I.  I’m so proud of you.  I had to let you know. “You go girl.!!!” May  God continue to bless you and always stay in His  light.
-Edna Ruth Jackson-Owens

This is an honest, brave, and raw account of a very strong woman’s journey. The story is gripping and deeply personal. It pulls the reader in for the ride and holds on to you while witnessing the personal and spiritual growth of the Author.
Ms. Mary Louise bares her heart and soul in this opus.

Read your book and learned from your story as I learned from you when we worked together. You are a light and inspiration to many.

This book has so much relevance with me and some dear people I know that have also shared their sentiments with me. We expect too much from our own family or people that we love so much not knowing we are dipping ourselves into a pool of misery for trying to be accepted and loved by those we gave so much, yet we usually get hurt because we get blinded by our love for them. I’m inspired by the courage of the author to give her testimony to the world so that she can reach out to those who are also going through the same and be able to show how she came to heal herself from it with the help from God. Thank you for writing this book!
